Racing Classes & Rules
One of the biggest draws of NO PREP HEIST is its wide range of classes—each one designed to test different types of machines and drivers.
Daily Driver – $200 Buy In
This class stays true to the “run what you drive” ethos. Cars must be tagged, insured, and ready for a 20–30 mile cruise. Working headlights, full interiors, and radios required. No funny car cages, no mini tubs—just real-world daily drivers pushed to their limits.
Index Racing (7.0, 6.50, 6.0)
Footbrake-only 7.0 index, transbrake-friendly 6.50 and 6.0 classes—all on a Pro Tree, with no times and no tickets. Just you, the light, and the finish line.
Lil 5.30 – $200 Buy In
Capped at 5.30, open to cars and trucks, but limited to 275/315 tires. Door cars only. Expect some of the fiercest side-by-side passes here.
Tailgate – $200 Buy In
For trucks, SUVs, and wagons with a single power adder. A crowd-pleasing class that’s sure to bring out heavy hitters with a twist.
Small Tire – $300 Buy In
The marquee grudge class. 28/275 or smaller, any power adder, and no excuses. These races often end up being the wildest part of the night.
Hard Tire – $100 Buy In
200 tread wear minimum, no drag radials, and no AWD. This class puts driving skill front and center.
Why Yellow Belly?
The Yellow Belly Drag Strip is legendary in Texas street and no prep culture. Its rough surface levels the playing field, rewarding those who can hook and hustle rather than just those with the deepest pockets. Pair that with the intensity of the NO PREP HEIST concept, and you’ve got a recipe for a racing weekend fans won’t forget.
Final Thoughts
The first NO PREP HEIST is more than a drag racing event—it’s the beginning of a series that puts raw driving, bold wagers, and grassroots competition in the spotlight. Whether you’re entering a class or just watching from the stands, this is Texas racing in its purest form.
If you’re serious about racing—or just love the unpredictability of no prep battles—mark your calendar for November 14–15, 2025, at Yellow Belly Drag Strip. The NO PREP HEIST is here, and it’s not pulling any punches.
